The beginnings of NovaScotiaArtisans.ca

After the 2nd Annual Spring Artisan Craft & Vendor Show was cancelled for April the decision was made to move to May in the hopes Covid-19 would tame down and events would be allowed to commence. May came around and we were still in lockdown, with all events cancelled for the foreseeable future- the sadness of realizing in person shows were looking like a thing of the past, I knew I had to figure out a way to bring the shows online so crafters could get back to selling their gorgeous pieces and customers could connect with local talent.

HRM Online Craft and Vendor Show group was born and quickly grew as the first event took place where crafters and vendors posted their goods in a scheduled time, visitors to the group were able to see all the posts and products listed as well as interact with the seller directly. With contests, videos and photos this group blossomed into what it is today, at over one thousand members it is a great group where online craft shows can be possible.

BUT there was something more I wanted to do. These shows only happened over a few days and were at most once a month. I needed to bring Nova Scotia crafters together with shoppers all the time, not just for a few days at a time. That is where the idea came to light to set up a website where only Nova Scotia crafters could list their products and people could shop local anytime from anywhere. With novascotiaartisans.ca you can shop by product or crafter to make a smooth and user-friendly search to help you find just the item you have always been looking for!

Offering scrumptious cookies, personalized apparel, handcrafted soaps and delicately created wallets & purses and so much more, this shopping experience is sure to get everyone excited.
